Able Services has earned certification with honors to ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and achieved CIMS-Green Building (GB) certification. ISSA is the leading trade association for the cleaning industry worldwide.
The company’s compliance with the ISSA-developed Standard demonstrates its commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality and professional service to its customers.
“This certification is a testament that our organization is capable if consistently delivering high levels of service quality through standardized processes. The Standards are comprehensive and touch all aspects of our business – allowing us to better measure and communicate our performance,” said Richard Mulkerrins, President of Able Building Maintenance.
“One of the major elements of the Standard is continuous improvement. With that always in mind, the CIMS certification process has strengthened our company and our customer partnerships,” added Mulkerrins.
In 2007, the company created its trademarked GreenAble cleaning program to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for its customers and decrease its environmental impact. The newly-earned CIMS-GB certification further solidifies the company’s standing in the sustainability community.
The CIMS-GB certification highlights the company’s commitment to providing environmentally preferable cleaning practices and recognizes its ability to help its customers secure points under the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) Green Building Rating System.
“We strive to deliver tangible value for our customers by providing them with subject matter experts capable of supporting their sustainability initiatives,” said Michael McGee, LEED AP, and Director of Sustainability for Able Services. “By being proactive and staying tuned in to industry best-practices we are able to partner with our customers to meet their environmental objectives.”
Able Services earned the highest level of CIMS certifications following a vigorous 3-day review conducted by an independent, accredited assessor. The assessor visited randomly selected Able customers to ensure its activities are consistent with the company’s documented management, operations, and performance systems and processes.
