Chicago, IL (April 12, 2009) – Able Engineering Services President Paul Saccone, in response to a growing Boston area client base, has named John Paras manager of the company’s Boston operations. The company, which first entered the Boston market in 2007, recently expanded its market presence when it was retained by Boston Properties for The Prudential Center. Able Engineering Services provides on-site engineering services including HVAC, mechanical and preventative maintenance.“Over the last two years, Able Engineering has gained a significant foothold in the Boston area based on our proven expertise in commercial real estate, life sciences, universities, and the hospitality industry,” says Saccone. “Our asset preservation programs, energy management system optimization, and green initiative programs, in particular, are highly valued by our customers for their contribution to the bottom line as well as environmental health.”

Saccone, who is a Boston native, and new manager Paras have strong local ties. Saccone, formerly national vice president of Engineering and Energy at Equity Office, was previously director of hotel operations at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston and director of engineering operations for the Saunders Hotel Group. Paras was most recently Site Facilities Operations Manager at Gillette Stadium. Paras will be located at Able Engineering office at The Prudential Center.

Able Engineering Services began providing engineering services to The Prudential Center in November. To this complex facility, Able Engineering brings comprehensive energy expertise and its core values of energy conservation and controlling operating costs.

The Prudential Center is a 3.2 million square foot urban center, comprised of 2.6 million square feet of office space, 620,000 square feet of retail space and the largest parking garage in New England, with space for 3,660 cars.

Other Able Engineering Services clients include The Center for Life Science, a 700,000+ square foot research, laboratory and office facility in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area owned by BioMed Realty Trust, Inc. Able also provides engineering services to Shorenstein Properties LLC and their 228,626 square foot office building located at 399 Boylston Street.

Able Engineering Services has built its success on its unique practice of requiring every engineering manager to have hands-on experience as a chief engineer. For Able Engineering Services clients this means a highly sophisticated, yet practical, perspective and approach to keeping facilities operating at maximum efficiency.
