WASHINGTON, June 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Increased interest in sustainability and the growth of sustainable building services at commercial real estate facilities emphasize the need to do more for the environment. Able Services, a Ninety-year old family-owned facility services company, operating over one billion sq. ft. of real estate, will be presenting with Goby, creators of SeaSuite™, a smart platform for whole building optimization.

Zero Waste as defined by the United States Zero Waste Business Council (USZWBC) is 90% diversion from the landfill. Local municipalities such as San Francisco have Zero Waste goals for the near future which will inevitably effect commercial buildings. Companies like Microsoft, Sierra Nevada Brewery, and Disney are pursuing Zero Waste initiatives with the goal of reducing their impact on the environment and providing more value to their customers.

“The sustainability landscape continues to evolve,” said Mark Kelly, President of Able Services, “benchmarking your facility’s energy use is no longer sufficient. Now, we are trying to make less trash and divert as much as possible from the landfill into recycling centers and compost facilities.”

In recent years Able has partnered with Goby to optimize whole-buildings and whole-portfolio energy usage. SeaSuite™ captures and distills multiple data sources into simple, contextualized dashboards, tasks, and reports to cost effectively track and monitor whole building performance.

“Utility management in SeaSuite goes beyond transparency into usage metrics. Our platform turns complex data into actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and improves your bottom line,” said Helee Lev, EVP of Goby. “Using SeaSuite to report to USGBC and GRESB has drastically altered the realm of possibilities in regard to sustainability reporting.”

Better Run Buildings™ is the goal of Able and Goby’s relationship. As the relationship has advanced, the need for more capabilities has also increased. Able and Goby have delivered Zero Waste services and data tracking to clients seeking additional ways to prove their commitment to sustainability.
