Nasser Dollah (center), Local 399 instructor, and an Able Services engineering manager, was recently invited to IUOE’s new International Conference and Training Center to teach one of the first courses on Building Automation Systems (BAS). Approximately twenty-five students attended the course representing regions from all over the United States, including Chicago, New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. The lessons learned at the IUOE training facility will be with these students for the duration of their careers.

“IUOE’s International Training & Conference Center is the largest and most comprehensive training facility for union Operating and Stationary Engineers in North America.  Located in Crosby, TX, the facility is about 30 minutes outside of Houston and accessible to most of the country’s airports. This world-class facility was designed by a blue-ribbon panel of Local Training Coordinators and IUOE staff to develop and improve the skills of our members, instructors, and staff in order to meet the needs of our members and our industry. The training center will augment and enhance the training opportunities delivered by local union programs and demonstrates commitment to high-quality skills training to signatory contractors, general contractors, and owners.” – IUOE
